In 2009, Mieshel Image began Civility Counts In Our Community to bring to light the negative impact that incivility has on our quality of life. We are committed to keeping the importance of civil discourse at the forefront through research-based workshops, training and speaking engagements. Annually, we spark community-wide discussion with our Civility Counts Luncheon and Mid-Michigan Civility Star award presentation.

Our vision is to launch a positive epidemic of civility in our community one person, group or organization at a time. We define the term "community" as homes, neighborhoods, athletic fields, schools, places of business or any other setting where people with common interests come together. Our goal is to provide community-specific education to a wide range of groups as a way to impact and improve the lives of all.
